What is the difference between CGST, SGST and IGST? ▼
CGST (Central GST) and SGST (State GST) are levied together on intra-state (within same state) transactions — each at half the applicable GST rate. IGST (Integrated GST) is levied on inter-state (different state) transactions at the full GST rate.
How do I calculate GST on a price that already includes GST? ▼
Select “Remove GST” mode, enter the inclusive amount and choose the rate. The calculator extracts the original base price using: Base = Total ÷ (1 + Rate/100). The difference is your GST component.
Who needs to register for GST? ▼
Businesses with annual turnover above ₹20 lakhs (₹10 lakhs for special category states) must register for GST. E-commerce operators and inter-state suppliers must register regardless of turnover.
